Overall, my strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, undeniable passion for digital marketing and willingness to learn/adapt in any environment can make me a strong candidate for this opening. Last year I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida last May and am looking to receive my Master of Management in Integrated Business degree from the University of Central Florida this August. Throughout high school and college, I’ve religiously followed digital media websites, podcasts, books, channels, and trends relating to changes in social media and it’s one I’m passionate to be a part of. Moreover, my thorough experience through jobs/internships not limited to marketing, social media, branding, business development and content creation will greatly benefit my coworkers as well as the success of the company. Specifically, I have and know how to: • Research/execute campaigns to grow social media following and engagement • Coordinate content strategy for Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and streaming platforms • Monitor media platform analytics and generate reports to showcase growth/changes every month • Promote brand events through several guerrilla/digital marketing and social media campaigns I've worked at a popular event promotion company in Florida called Swerve Presents which is know for hosting some of the best concerts across the state with superstar artists. I'm currently a Digital Media Manager for a music, art, and lifestyle blog "Brain Bakery Mag" which is home to over 50,000 followers on IG in which I specialize in strategizing content and growing engagments/followers.

Presently, I volunteer for the Horror Writers Association and have since April 2021. There, I develop content for promotion across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.; explore ways to improve engagement, improve the value of our content, and expand to niche platforms.; strengthen and grow diversity and inclusion measures by creating a calendar of celebrations/commemorations of marginalized identities and how to observe them (a recent example was interviewing LGBTQIA+ authors for Pride Month); code blog entries in HTML for upload; update our editorial calendar with evergreen, promotional, and topical content; and build community and actively engage with HWA members and followers on a daily basis. As a freelance writer, I've managed my own social media since June 2014, using platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Instagram stories, Tumblr, LinkedIn, etc. as appropriate, and have periodically used platforms like Patreon to mix social media with fundraising in the right circumstances. I also use Canva to design specific images for social media campaigns (please see Graphic Designer for more information). From June 2014 to October 2015, I created and ran a literary magazine called Real Talk. There, I was responsible for promoting individual authors, their pieces for Real Talk, and the magazine itself. This included creating pages/accounts for the magazine on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. while also running two pieces per weekday and a round-up of the week's publications during the weekend. I also cross-posted each of these posts to my personal pages and applicable groups, furthering engagement and increasing readership. From June 2014 to August 2015, I co-founded and co-hosted a podcast called Getting There née Lady Bits. It was targeted toward twenty-somethings in the midst of or approaching their ‘quarter-life crisis’ and we released weekly, 1+ hour episodes. For this project, I created pages/accounts for the podcast on Facebook and Twitter --I experimented with Instagram and LinkedIn, but engagement there was low-- where posts received greater rates of interaction. I also cross-posted to my personal social media across all platforms I had at the time and encouraged my co-host to do so as well. This increased our following exponentially, and, after 15 episodes, we were picked up by the 5by5 network. From January 2010 to May 2010, as part of a college internship, I worked at an independent press called Open Letter Books. There, I began to learn essential business-related social media skills, such as how and when to update a website; what sorts of blog content was informational, accessible, and well-received; how to best promote authors and provide readers with information about them and their books; and how to go about planning and promoting events.
