My name is Thomas Geis. I have a passion for the written as well as the spoken word. And though I like the eloquence and detailed descriptions of a Winston Churchill writings, I also admire the concise style and economy of training literature and professional copywriting. I have experience as a copywriter and proofreader at an ad agency and a graphic arts firm. I have also written training manuals and pre-opening presentations (I also did many of those presentations) for a number of companies in the Hospitality sector. Additionally, I have done some blog posts for a restaurant training company and some professional media posts. I am articulate and a good storyteller. My life experiences and the people who populated them provided me with my most significant life lessons. I grew up and came of age in Chicago and Miami. My time as a professional deep-sea fisherman and my time in business put me into close connections with CEOs, gamblers, smugglers, and my Father finally. I learned a lot about human nature from a roster of diverse and authentic characters. I learned something from every one of them. Those experiences and the resulting exposure to all of the variables, foibles, and quirks of human nature have fueled my passion for writing. I have included a writing sample. I hope that you like it.
