I graduated in May of 2020 from Ursinus College. During my time at Ursinus, I have worked to graduate in three and a half years with Magna Cum Laude Honors. Through my past internships, and personal experience that I have gained, my goal is to use the influence of marketing to connect people with businesses and products that I genuinely believe in. With my prior experience, I believe that I have worked to gain the necessary education and entrepreneurial experience to be able to go above and beyond in this position. Over the past six years, I have cultivated a following on multiple social media platforms to promote businesses, giving me foundational skills in customer service, sales, and marketing. This in-depth experience led to the opportunity of becoming a social media marketing intern for Expressive Path, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing opportunities in the arts for at-risk children. I worked to build both short and long term campaigns to promote their annual arts festival. Creating content for another business taught me how to develop, implement, and maintain a focused marketing campaign, as well as establish and keep track of analytics and web traffic in order to make productive adjustments. The nature of this workload helped me develop strong organizational skills. I have appreciated the dynamic that comes with working as part of a team during my time at Elmo Pio Imports, as well as the projects I have worked on for Breakthru Beverage. I had the opportunity to work with a design team at Elmo Pio Imports to plan and implement the new label for the launch of their Moscato can line this year. This taught me strong strategic and organizational skills, and the collaboration during this experience was what solidified my aspiration to pursue a position in the creative direction of marketing and social media management.

To whom it may concern, I am applying for the Social Media Specialist position. I have a particular interest for marketing, when it comes to business management. I love the aspects of identifying and meeting customer’s needs. My drive, marketing skills, great communication skills, and being an adaptable learner certainly qualify me for such a position. In college, I was a Growth Marketing Intern for start-up company JoyRun. It was exciting to contribute to a new business and to be able to see the driving metrics of our work. It was a very hands on job where I set weekly goals that were to be met or at least close to those goals. I marketed in person, face-to-face with fellow students and local community members. I marketed on Instagram and on Twitter, alongside giving my manager new marketing ideas. I was apart of clubs in college, being on the board of one of them, the African Friendship Association. My role as the event coordinator called for marketing our events on all social media platforms, including Facebook. I always had a passion for the work the clubs and/or job stood for so it made it that more enjoyable to market for them. All of the extracurricular activities I participated in taught me about accountability and drive in the business world. My skills of accountability, marketing techniques, being a great team worker, and dependable, are great qualities for the Social Media Specialist position. I am excited to bring my skills to the table along with learning new skills and information. I look to hearing back from you. Side note: I am not able to download my resume for some odd reason. Thank you, Betty Kibreab

Operations Manager David Hur, Sales & Marketing
With six years of regulated cannabis industry experience, I have been granted the unique opportunity to watch a young industry grow from an unorganized, irregular, and loosely regulated hodgepodge of real businesses and black-market-esque establishments, to a lucrative, exciting, and booming, global industry with international market revenue in the billions. I have been able to hone my already strong interpersonal skills and grow as a professional and as an individual. I have worn many hats in my young career. My most recent endeavor has been as an operations manager of an $18M retail organization here in San Jose. Innovating and engineering financial growth through brand expansion, communication skills, and a strong dose of humility among other things. Helping local, small businesses to grow through exposure to larger markets. Procuring product and sharpening negotiation skills and practical b2b sales experience. Leading a small team of like-minded individuals to be pragmatic, give attention to detail always, juggle tasks with grace, and see projects through to completion, all while having the intuition to prioritize and maximize efficiency. This experience has come to fruition over the last year and eight months through resilience, hard work, and innovation on my part. I have acquired and strengthened many skills, both technical, business-related, and interpersonal, to become a straight shooter and well rounded professional during this period of my life. Provided with the right opportunity, I believe that I can use my unique foundation of life and professional experience based in coming of age in different regions across the US, world travel and living abroad, and volunteering, to make an impact and be an asset to any organization willing to give me a shot.
