Hello! My name is Kristina; founder of Kristhecreative Illustration & Design. I'm a creative with a passion for Illustration and drawing. I graduated from college in 2012 and hold a bachelors degree in Computer Graphics & New Media and took a concentration in Print. During my 4 years of college, I also took a variety of business and legal courses that I now use and apply to the creative industry that I am in. In 2012 I took a college internship with a company doing packaging design, where some of my patterns became physical products in the 2012 Christmas line. After graduation, I moved back home and started interning with a local machine shop, where I would design custom art that would be cut out of metal with the use of a CNC plasma cutter. I also helped the company market themselves and designed a website for them while participating in local shows to sell products. In 2013 I took a job in Packaging Design, which is where I remained for the last 7 years. My position turned me into a Packaging Project Manager, managing a variety of products, deadlines, communications, and project scopes. I was also involved in packaging compliance (FPLA and NIST) and making sure product packaging met the correct testing procedures to ensure product could ship to retailers. I am fortunate enough during those years to have had some creative projects that lead to actual production of my designs which were sold in retailers across the USA. Because of this exposure, I have taken an interest in surface pattern design and hope to continue expanding my portfolio and get into licensing in the near future. Due to the shift in my position over the years into project management, it was not in line with where I saw my career goals, so I decided I would go on my own to freelance to best use my skills and assets and to further grow my creative passions. I have worked with various freelance clients and started up Kristhecreative as a name to push myself forward. I am constantly learning and educating myself in the industry. I also run my own product line where I design all my own hand made crafts and gifts from my artwork and designs. All of the designs are original and created by me. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I have experience with the following: Creative Design & Illustration: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Clip Studio, Procreate, Affinity Designer Film Editing: Final cut Pro/ Express, Adobe Premier Desktop Publishing: Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook/ Entourage) Programming: Wordpress Customization, HTML, CSS, FTP, PHP (minimal working knowledge) Platforms: Mac OS Databases: MYSQL Languages: Mandarin Chinese (limited speaking- 4 years; 2004-2008) Other: CNC Plasma Cutter, Brother & Singer Sewing Machines (regular & computerized), Brother Embroidery, Cricut Maker
