Applied art to industry diagrammatics, built diagrammatics to industry specifications, accurately proofed art at multiple stages of the design and manufacturing process, and helped to ensure that art complied with industry regulations. Designed signage, banners, flyers, and product sheets. Built high quality product mock-ups for customers and sales representatives, shot products and product mock-ups in an in-house photo studio. Retouched product photos and prepared high quality product renderings for an online product book. Troubleshooted stages of photography and mock-up process and presented alternate product image rendering techniques that resulted in a higher-quality image with less time spent. Musical Artist: Northwest Christian University July 1998 – September 1999 (1 year) As a member of the Christian musical group Pilgrimage, I toured around the Inland Northwest and down into California. With the exception of a few holidays and a few weekends we had off, we toured every weekend during the school year. I sang a number of songs across multiple genres from modern worship and gospel to sacred motets; played guitar, violin, and piano; set up and took down equipment, and so much more. We represented the college to hundreds of churches across the Northwest and California, but more importantly we represented Christ as we connected with people across the western US and with each other. My previous role was as graphic designer for a media company based in Glasgow city centre, where I designed from start to finish, two bimonthly magazines for the hair and beauty industry, as well as all design work for the company's annual awards gala, The Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards. My main tasks were editorial design, layouts, print, and adverts (where I would directly liaise with advertising clients to design their adverts and advertorials). That role came to an end near the beginning of the lockdown period. I have also freelanced for a couple of different companies in the area. I do editorial design and editorial illustrations for Think Publishing, working across their various publications, such as UK Landlord magazine, Historic Scotland, Wanderlust, Whale & Dolphin magazine and Royal Photographic Society magazine. My work for them varies from doing feature spreads, to full spread illustrations of my own style, as well as regular infographics work. My second freelance role is with Merson Group, a signage company based in East Kilbride. They have done huge projects across the UK and my most recent work for them was as part of the "Black Seal" team, where we created a database of thousands of artwork assets for a major UK supermarket, for internal and external signage and artwork. This work focussed on accuracy and organisation of files within the database. I have also been a remote freelance designer for a baby products ecommerce company based in the USA, where I have created artwork for their online product listings and website. I am currently working on product and brand videos for their products to increase visibility of the company online. Further on the freelancing side, I have just begun a branding project for a new catering industry startup based in Glasgow, and possibly will be taking on a new website redesign project for a salon based in York—I received this connect through a relationship I developed with a PR company that I had worked with during my time at the hair and beauty magazines. As you can see, I have a variety of experience across the board on many facets of design.
