This recruitment will be used to fill six full-time Temporary Biological Science Research Technician 3 positions for the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University (OSU). The incumbent(s) will be a member of a crew establishing a permanent plot network in the mixed conifer forests of southwestern Oregon in order to evaluate the impact of the invasive forest pathogen Phytophthora ramorum, the cause of sudden oak death, on the forest ecosystems of southwestern Oregon. The incumbent(s) will establish plots, survey plant communities, and collect samples throughout the tanoak ecosystems of Oregon and potentially northern California.
