Content tutors provide small-group tutoring on a weekly basis, for lower level courses at Illinois State University. Applications will be reviewed midsemester when there is an increase in demand for a subject or should staffing changes occur. This posting is for both Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. Required Qualifications Applicants must have an overall GPA of at least a 2.80. Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will be proficient in the area in which he/she desires to tutor and be able to convey that knowledge clearly via the spoken and written word. A grade of A or high B is usually required in the course(s) in which the candidate is applying to tutor. Priority consideration will be given to those with a 3.00 GPA. Additional courses in the subject area applied for would be preferred. The tutor provides help tailored to each student's needs, so he/she must be friendly, desire to be helpful, and must be able to communicate effectively. While the main responsibility is tutoring, there will be other tasks as assigned by graduate assistant supervisors and the Coordinator of Learning Services. Work Hours May be some nights and weekends. Proposed Starting Date Fall 2021 Pay Rate $11 hourly Special Instructions for Applicants Applicants are required to submit two Content Tutor Reference forms. Summary/Objective Provide electrical engineering full-service design, construction, and maintenance consulting. Essential Job Duties Prepare signed and sealed design plans and specifications, including permit applications, site visits, contract preparation, cost estimates and plan reviews. Collaborate with customers, team members and management on project timelines. Provide support and consultation on code compliance. Train and supervise hourly engineers, and ensure policy compliance. Approve time sheets, and expense reimbursements. Source, hire, assign, and pay consultants. Oversee and advise technicians, inspectors, and consultants.
