I've been doing freelance graphic design for years for a number of businesses who's policies and practices reflect socially just and progressive missions. My process begins through listening in order to gain deep understandings and to build trust with whomever I am working with. Here, I empathize with my client as well as with those that the client is trying to reach. We problem solve through narrative, both visual and verbal, and get to a place where abstract ideas and concepts begin to become tangible. From there, I use my drafting skills on paper to begin to translate ideas into a visual interpretation. In collaboration, my visual thinking is realized as my client and I decide on the imagery that best suits the message that needs to be said.
